Historique :	Allégories commandées le 5 novembre 1937 par le Ministère de l'Education pour orner la salle des Congrès du nouveau Ministère des PTT, 20 avenue de Ségur. Commande consécutive à la réalisation de deux reliefs polychromes illustrant le Tour et la Décoration des porcelaines en 1936-1937 pour le pavillon de la Manufacture nationale de Sèvres à l'Exposition Universelle. Elles sont mentionnées dans le compte-rendu du Conseil d'administration de la manufacture du 7 juillet 1938. Mises en place seulement après la Guerre et transportées en avril 1988 dans le lieu actuel, alors bureau principal du 20e arrondissement (réaménagement du hall du public en décembre 1999). Ces hauts-reliefs marquent une réussite technique de par la juxtaposition de carreaux en relief de rétrécissement variable à la cuisson. E. Pagliano écrit qu'ils ont été exécutés d'après deux dessins. Du moins des maquettes de plâtre peint ont-elles probablement servi d'intermédiaires comme il en existe pour la composition de la décoration de porcelaines, 1937 (Lecomte, n°289).
