Historique :	Oeuvre exécutée vers 1660-1680 (Christ) ; croix de 1822. Nous ne le connaissons surnommé 'des Filles du Roy' qu'à partir d'une brochure de 1977. Allusion à une toute première époque du système de Colbert, entre 1663 et 1673, où des orphelines et filles abandonnées de l'Hôpital général furent envoyées en Nouvelle France et venaient se prosterner avant le départ devant ce Christ en croix. Dans une seconde période, on maria probablement filles de la Salpêtrière et garçons de Bicêtre. La primitive chapelle Saint-Denys (où des solennités étaient encore célébrées en 1675) aurait-elle été le site originel de ce rituel ?
