Description :	Les clichés zinc sont les parents pauvres du patrimoine graphique. En effet, la main directement nécessaire à l'objet d'art est ici en partie absente de sa fabrication. Il s'agit généralement d'une photographie que l'acide a creusée dans le zinc ou dans le cuivre. Mais, alors que l'on encense la photographie, on rejette celui qui permettra son impression. Celui-là même qui enregistre matériellement le cliché sensible dans la forme métallique copiant ainsi la gravure. C'est aussi le témoignage d'une époque où peut importait la pollution résultant d'une fabrication pourvu que l'on ait pu produire. Ces clichés, aujourd'hui conservés, sont précieux car ils sont la seule mémoire lorsque la photographie a disparue et qu'elle n'est plus envisageable.
