Historique :	Exécutée vers 1810. Jusqu'en 1988, placée à droite de la grille sur le quai d'Orsay. Henri-François d'Aguesseau (1668-1751). Jean-Joseph Foucou (1739-1815). Plâtre, salon de 1870 (guide Joanne). Stanislas Lami ne signale pas cette oeuvre parmi celles de Foucou, mais l'attribue à Louis-Pierre Deseine (modèle au Salon de 1814).Monsieur Vaubourgoin, architecte-adjoint conseiller de l'Assemblée Nationale fait savoir à l'inspecteur des Monuments historiques (M. Christian Prévost-Marcilhacy) que la municipalité de Limoges pour le d'Aguesseau a pris possession de la statue (16 septembre 1988).
