Historique :	Jusqu'en 1988, placée à gauche de la grille sur le quai d'Orsay. Louis-Pierre Deseine (1749-1822). Le modèle en plâtre a été exposé au Salon de 1814. Michel de l'Hôpital (vers 1505-1573). Par arrêté du 25 juin 1990, six statues dont celle représentant Michel de l'Hospital, conservée au Tribunal de Commerce de Paris et dont la copie figure sur la façade du Palais Bourbon (côté Seine). Le Président du Tribunal de Commerce dans une lettre du 21 avril 1991 fait connaître ceci : la statue conservée au Tribunal n'est qu'une partie - le buste - de l'original qui figurait sur la façade du Palais Bourbon. Le reste de cette oeuvre d'art n'est pas en possession du Tribunal. Le buste a été livré au Tribunal par la questure de l'Assemblée Nationale le 20 septembre 1989.
