Historique :	Le monument de Victor Charpentier d'Ennery, gouverneur des colonies, était destiné à figurer dans l'église d'Ennery. Il n'est pas certain qu'il n'y ait jamais été placé. Houdon n'a guère fait pour la France que ce seul monument funéraire. On connaît seulement de ce type les deux tombeaux qu'il exécuta pour une église de Moscou (Paul Vitry).
